Guatemalan companies are invited to participate in the third commercial and academic mission scheduled to take place in San Francisco, United States, from June 3 to 5.
The Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce is the institution organizing the mission, which aims to acquire new knowledge and establish contacts with companies such as Google, Uber, Cisco and Microsoft, among others.
Guatemalan companies are being called on to participate in a commercial and academic mission to San Francisco, United States from July 16 to 18.
The visit is being organized by the Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce. Waleska Sterkel de Ortiz, its executive director, commented that "... "The commercial mission provides added value and advantages for participants, such as savings in time and resources, development of strategies to venture into new sectors, networking and training."
A meeting is being organized for July 6 and 7 for businessmen and government representatives from both countries in Managua in order to explore business opportunities.
The activity is being organized by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce of Nicaragua, and the Embassy of Colombia.The objective of the event is to bring together businessmen from both countries to analyze investment opportunities, and develop alliances to improve the promotion of foreign trade and trade exchanges.
From March 6 to 7 representatives of international franchises from different sectors will be showcasing their business models and meeting with companies interested in acquiring franchises.
The meeting will be held at the Hotel Vista Real in Guatemala City, and will involve franchises for food products, restaurants, cleaning products, and others.At the event, organized by Amcham Guatemala, training and talks will be given on how to franchise a business, the necessary legal framework and other topics of interest.
The Chamber of Industry and the government have organized for November 9 and 10 an international investment forum which will include a business matchmaking service between companies and also conferences.

The Deputy Minister of Investment and Competition of the Ministry of Economy, Claudia Del Aguila, accompanied the Director of Exhibitions of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade -CCPIT-, Xu Yanbo, in presenting the Fourth China Exhibition 2014 to be held from 25 to 28 September in the Parque de la Industria.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industries has extended to May 16th the registration deadline for the virtual meeting with companies from various productive sectors.
Companies will be able to make online business appointments in the activity to be held on May 16, for which there the registration period lasts until Wednesday 30 April.
"The sign up period has been extended until Wednesday.
