Companies in the sector will meet in Costa Rica from January 27th-29th to explore business opportunities.
The aim of the meeting is to attract business partnerships and identify business opportunities between companies in the sector in the region.
The program will offer all participants the opportunity to enroll, identify and apply for one to one meetings with other participants before the event begins.
The Latin America-China Business Summit was held on November 26th and 27th in Costa Rica with more than 1,200 employers in regions with growing commercial exchanges.
Chinese and Latin American entrepreneurs gathered for two days for business meetings, contributing to increased trade in Latin America with the Asian country, which is already a commercial destination of prime importance for this region.
From November 27th to 29th electricity companies from Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua will take part in the International Fair for Electricity Industry (FISE) 2013 in Colombia.
The fifth version of the show which will feature goods and services such as transformers, engineering works, bulbs for public lighting and other things, will be held in Medellin.
The event will be held on the 7th and 8th of November and will feature 20 minute appointments between sellers and buyers.
The activity will take place at the Hotel Intercontinental in Guatemala and is intended to facilitate contacts between national and international participants, promote brands and open new markets.
Another objective of the macro conference is to provide an opportunity to analyze new business niches and boost exports to Central America and Mexico. Among the categories involved are: the agricultural sector (Vegetables, Fruits and differentiated products) and manufacturing (Food and Drink, Plastics, Cosmetics and other goods).
From 13th to 16th of August, Peruvian entrepreneurs from the food, manufacturing, services and clothing industries will be promoting ExpoPerú Central America 2013 in Panama and Costa Rica.
In attendance along with businessmen will be a delegation of union presidents, congressmen and officials from the South American country.
"This activity is a business promotion tool which is part of the strategy of the foreign trade sector of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, set up by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for export and tourism - PROMPERÚ with the support of business sector," noted an article in Laestrella.com.pa.
For this new edition opened in Granada, Nicaragua, more than 1,600 business meetings have already been scheduled between the buyers and suppliers participating in the event.
"Conditions are ripe for this (Lac Flavors) to succeed in the sale and promotion of Nicaraguan products, the abundant quantities and skills of the attendees representing companies interested in agribusiness fills us with satisfaction and demonstrates the motivation in the food sector," said Alvaro Baltodano, Presidential Delegate for Investments.
On 25 and 26 July 150 regional suppliers to the food sector will present their products to more than 50 buyers from North America, Europe and Asia.

LAC Flavors 2013: a Business Conference, to be held in Granada, Nicaragua, on the 25th and 26th July 2013, is being organized by the Official Agency for Investment Promotion and Export (PRONicaragua), the Superior Council of Private Enterprise (COSEP) of Nicaragua and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) via the Trade and Investment Unit (TIU) of the Integration and Trade Sector (INT) and the Department of Central America (CID) Mexico, Panama and the Dominican Republic, through its Mesoamerica Project.
On 26th and 27th of November 500 Chinese businessmen will take part in business meetings with 300 representatives from Latin American companies seeking to generate new business.
According to Anabel Gonzalez, Minister of Foreign Trade, they expect the involvement of 300 employers in the region and they have been organizing business meetings for the summit in the form of plenary sessions, parallel meetings and roundtable discussions at high-level .
On the 10th and 11th of June the event which will bring together members of the 23 American Chambers of Commerces in Latin America, entrepreneurs and renowned speakers will be held in Guatemala.
The focus of the activity will be "intrarregional trade": promoting and strengthening trade between Latin America and the Caribbean, and the United States. With the signing of sub-regional free trade agreements, the opportunities are great and unlimited.
After the cancelation by Costa Rica of the traditional regional tourism event CATM, El Salvador has announced that in September it will be organizing a fair to promote itself as a tourist destination.
"This fair is El Salvador's response to the regional impasse that was experienced with the traditional Central America Travel Market (CATM), after Costa Rica decided not to host this fair, the most important on the isthmus, leaving each country to promote itself individually and not as an integrated destination", reported Elmundo.com.sv .
Companies specializing in renewable energy will visit the country in the first week of June to offer advice, financing and technology in photovoltaics, wind and water.
From 3 to June 7 an event will be held in Panama dedicated to renewable energies and on Tuesday, June 4th the Renewable Energy Symposium 'Made in Germany' will be held at the Marriott in Panama City, sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Technology of Germany, which seeks to support German companies in expanding into foreign markets, in this case in Panama and other Central American countries.
From November 27 to December 1 the Fair of the Americas will be held in Florida, USA, an event which involves some 500 SMEs from Central America.
This event is considered the largest showcase for Central American products in America. From 3 to 5 December, the next Latin America Outsourcing Services Conference by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals will be held in Costa Rica

The Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE) publicly announces that Costa Rica will host the next Latin America Outsourcing Services Conference by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAPO). The selection of Costa Rica is a result of the development of the services sector and the recent addition of the country as a member of the IAOP, an organization that brings together more than 120,000 associates around the world and is co-organizing this event along with CINDE, a conference which is considered the most important in the Latin American region for outsourcing services.
In April and May, two Peruvian trade mission will visit Panama, Costa Rica and Guatemala in search of business opportunities.
The Exporters Association of Peru (ADEX) has organized two trade missions from companies from various sectors and foreign trade students from Peru.
