During the AGRITRADE event held in Guatemala there were 1,700 business meetings between international buyers and Central American exporters, with deals $62 million.

In the seventeenth edition of Expo & Conference AGRITRADE, 1,708 appointments were scheduled between international buyers and exporters / producers in Central America.
It has been reported that in 2014 the South American country imported $110 million in animal feed, 9% more than in 2013.

According to a study by the research firm Colombia B & Optimos, 37% of the 1,500 respondents in different cities, said they had a pet. Of these, 70% said they have dogs, while 13% said they have cats.
From 6 to 7 May companies and investors in the sector will be in in San José taking part in business meetings and conferences relevant to franchises in the region.
The second edition of the American Franchise Summit will be held at the Hotel Park Inn, Costa Rica and will involve seven international speakers. The event will last two days and is aimed at 150 franchisees and franchisors investors with the aim of promoting business appointments.
A World Bank study has evaluated regulations which exist in 22 cities in the region for starting new business, registration, construction, and border trade.

On March 18th the first business meetings in the International Fair in David will take place, to which companies from all productive sectors are invited to participate.

The International Fair in David and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Chiriqui are inviting participation in the first Business Roundtable, exclusively for exhibitors in the exhibition event, from Wednesday March 18, 2015 to be held in the Diplomatic Room Rafael Galan from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Companies in the coffee sector will go to Taiwan on November 14th to participate in the International Fair of Coffee, Tea and Wine.
For the third consecutive year, with the support of the Council for the Promotion of Foreign Trade of Taiwan companies in the sector will be taking part in the Taiwanese business fair. Some of the participating companies are Mayaland Coffee, Seacsa Business Group, Asdecafé, Finca Chacayá, Asproguate and Finca El Triunfo.
Between October 28th and 30th, Guatemala City will host a meeting between businessmen from various productive sectors in Spain and representatives from Central American companies.
This multilateral meeting aims to find business opportunities in the energy industry, transport, water and real estate development, among others.
Exporters from the sectors related to food, crafts, plastics, cosmetics and others will be taking a business trip to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic from 17 to 22 November.

During the International Tourism Expo 2014 held in Panama, 3,276 business contacts were made between international wholesaler buyers and tourism businesses in the region.

The Deputy Minister of Investment and Competition of the Ministry of Economy, Claudia Del Aguila, accompanied the Director of Exhibitions of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade -CCPIT-, Xu Yanbo, in presenting the Fourth China Exhibition 2014 to be held from 25 to 28 September in the Parque de la Industria.
The purchase agreement for 100,000 square feet of leather between Guatemalan and Nicaraguan companies reflects the growth in demand for this product in Guatemala.
The tannery La Fuente, located in Granada, Nicaragua, reported that it has finalized a contract with a Guatemalan company to provide 100,000 square feet of leather and added that they have asked to have a local distributor in order to access the product more directly.
The event to be held on November 12th and 13th in Guatemala City will bring together companies in the outsourcing services sector and will feature conferences and business meetings.
