Orient International plans to set up a distribution center in the Colon Free Zone, in which plants, generators and other electrical equipment will be assembled.
In a statement issued by the Colon Free Zone (ZLC by its initials in Spanish), Zhang Shijun, Managing Director of Shangatex Latin America, explained that the following months are key for a human team from the company Orient International (Holding) Co., Ltd.
The Mexican company Zetrak has inaugurated a plant in Amatitlán, department of Guatemala, for the manufacture of electrical distribution and power transformers.
Executives from Zetrak Guatemala stated that the "...objective of the new production plant, which will have all of the technical-commercial support of Zetrak Mexico, is to provide a more personalized service and a prompt response for all customers in Central America."
Sensity Systems, an innovator in intelligent lighting systems, has announced a $490 million investment for the assembly of its products in that country, without disclosing the funding sources.
In the statement by the Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments of El Salvador (PROESA) no reference was made to funding sources. Nor is there much public information about Sensity Systems (except in their own press releases).
