In the first five months of the year, the country received $609 million in remittances from abroad, which is equivalent to an increase of 10% compared to the same period in 2017.
The Central Bank of Nicaragua reported that "... Remittances totaled 127.1 million dollars in May (US $121.2 million in May 2017), which meant an interannual variation of 4.9 percent."
Between January and May, family remittances received by the country totaled $2.228 billion, registering an increase of 8.9% compared to the same period in the previous year.
The Central Reserve Bank reported that "... El Salvador received US $2.2276 billion in family remittances up to May 2018, an additional US $182.9 million (8.9% more) than the income received under this concept in the same period in the previous year, reported the Central Reserve Bank.In the month of May alone, the country received US $ 493.7 million, with a year-on-year growth of 7.1%."
During the first five months of 2018, remittances received from abroad totaled $1.974 billion, 9% more than the amount received in the same period in 2017.
According to figures from the Central Bank of Honduras (BCH), between the first five months of 2017 and 2018, the country saw an increase in the volume of remittances received, rising from $1.812 billion to $1.974 billion.
From January to May 2018, remittances totaled $3.598 billion, 8% more than the total received in the same period in 2017.
According to the most recent figures from the Banco de Guatemala, in May 2018 the country received $809 million in remittances, an amount that exceeds by 8.2% the $640 million registered in the same month in 2017.
During the first four months of the year, the country received $482 million in the form of remittances from abroad, which is equivalent to an increase of 11.7% compared to the same period in 2017.

May 15, 2018.The Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN) published on May 31, 2018, statistics on family remittances corresponding to the month of April.
Explained by the dynamics of economic activity and the flow of family remittances, the Central Bank estimates that this year the economy will grow between 3% and 3.8%.
According to the authorities at Banco de Guatemala (Banguat), by 2019 the expectation is that the economy will grow between 3.1% and 4.1%, and in relation to inflation for this year and next, it is expected that the Growth rate will remain close to 4%.
During the first four months of 2018, remittances received from abroad totaled $1.579 billion, 10% more than was received in the same period in 2017.

During the first quarter of 2018, remittances sent from abroad to Guatemala totaled $2.019 billion, 4% more than the total received in the same period in 2017.
According to figures from the Banco de Guatemala, in March 2018 the country received $754 million in remittances, an amount that exceeds by 2% the $740 million registered in the same month in 2017.
During the first two months of the year, the country received $229 million in the form of remittances from abroad, which is equivalent to an increase of 9.6% compared to the same period in 2017.

March 27, 2018In February, remittances totaled 116.9 million dollars (US $107.6 million in 2017), with an interannual variation of 8.6 percent, according to the indicator of family remittances for the month of February 2018 published by the Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN) on March 27 of this year.
During the first two months of the year, the country received $778 million in family remittances, which is equivalent to an increase of 7.2% with respect to the amount registered in the same period in 2017.
The Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador (BCR) reported that "...in the month of February alone, US $397.8 million was received in remittances, which represents growth of 4.4% over the same month in the previous year."
During the first two months of 2018, remittances sent from abroad to Guatemala totaled $1.265 billion, 5% more than the total received in the same period in 2017.
According to figures from the Banco de Guatemala, in January and February of 2018 the country received $1.265 million in the form of remittances, an amount that exceeds by 5% the $1.202 billion registered in the first two months of 2017.
In January 2018, the country received a total of $113 million in the form of remittances from abroad, 11% more than in the same month in 2017.
The Central Bank of Nicaragua reported that in January 2018 "remittances totaled 112.9 million dollars (US $102.1 million in 2017), presenting a year-on-year growth rate of 10.6 percent with respect to what was observed in 2017."
