The English company has officially announced the installation of a center for information technology and software development for the financial industry.
The company did not specify the amount of the investment, but said it intends to hire 300 people.

This morning over a breakfast with foreign businessmen held in New York by the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE) which included the participation of President Laura Chinchilla and Foreign Trade Minister, Anabel González, the English company Rule Financial Services publicly announced its decision to install in Costa Rica a modern center for information technologies and development of specialized software for the financial industry.
From 6th to 9th of May 2014 the Tenth International Conference on Open Source Systems will be held in Costa Rica.
According to Otto Chinchilla, one of the coordinators of the event, Costa Rica was chosen to host the Conference "because it is one of the countries that has had the greatest amount of investment and esteemed development in the software industry, having a highly competitive technology park ".
The aim of the event, by Proesa, is to facilitate international contacts for young Salvadoran entrepreneurs from the sector and is expected to have 100 participants.
The international export services event, focussing on software, will be held on May 24th and is being organized by the investment promotion agency Proesa.
"We have identified several companies in the country, especially of young entrepreneurs who are engaging in this activity and we think we should give them the opportunity to connect with such people worldwide," said Geovanni Berti, executive director of Proesa to Elmundo.com.sv.
With an investment of $ 8 million, the transnational opened a Center in the Belen area.
The new Engineering Development Center (IDC), comprising of 300 engineers and technicians in systems designs, develops and tests company hardware and software.
Nacion.com reported statements of the general manager of Intel in Costa Rica, Michael Forrest, "Intel Costa Rica expects for the Center to continue growing in both number of engineers and technicians as well as complexity of tasks".
