Agrisal Group invested $10 million in the purchase and remodeling of Indigo Hotel in Santa Ana, which from now on will operate under the brand Holiday Inn Express.
The 100-room hotel is located in Santa Ana and is focused mainly on the segment of business travelers.
The hotel chain InterContinental Hotels Group announced the signing of two contracts for Holiday Inn Express hotels in Managua and Tegucigalpa respectively.
In total the two properties represent an increase of 220 rooms for the Holiday Inn brand family in Latin America and the Caribbean, where there are currently 18 Holiday Inn Express hotels and 24 Holiday Inn hotels.
The IHG hotel chain has signed a franchise to open a 198 room hotel in July 2012.
The hotel will be operated by Latin American Hospitality Management Inc., the hospitality division of the Salvadoran group Agrisal, who have signed a long-term strategic agreement with IHG to expand in the region.
