The Ministry of the Interior of Guatemala awarded Innova Outsourcing S.A., the contract to provide leasing services for the implementation of telematic control.
The companies Soluciones de Centroamerica S.A. and Tactical Group S.A. also submitted bids for this tender; however, the bidding board decided to reject both bids.
According to the awarding minutes dated June 3, 2021, in the case of Innova Outsourcing S.A., the company that won the bidding, its proposal amounted to approximately $32 million.
The tender for the service of electronic tax stamps for containers passing through Guatemalan customs will no longer be carried out, meaning that several companies will be able to offer their services independently.
Last June the Superintendency of Tax Administration of Guatemala had convened an informative meeting for companies that were interested in the qualification process to provide the electronic tax stamp service.
In Guatemala, a call to take part in a qualification process is being made to companies interested in bidding for an electronic marketing service, a process to be held in an information meeting on June 26.
The tax stamps will be used in the county's customs posts and the meeting in which the details of the contracting process will be provided, was convened by the Superintendency of Tax Administration (SAT).

None of the four proposals submitted met the requirements of the specifications of the controversial $10 million tender, which has already been canceled once before and now needs to re-convened.

Of the fourteen companies that showed interest in taking part, only nine presented and explained their proposals to the Executive Unit of Loan with the Inter-American Development Bank.
