In December, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.43%, accumulating between January and December inflation of 3.07%.
The monthly (0.43%), cumulative (3.07%) and annual (3.07%) variation, recorded an acceleration in the price level relative to the amounts observed in December 2014.

The annual variation in December 2015 (3.07%) accelerated by 0.12 relative to that observed in the same month last year (2.95%). And in relation to that recorded in November 2015 (2.63%) it rose by 0.44.
In November, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.47%, accumulating between January and November inflation of 2.63%.
The monthly change (0.47%) registered an acceleration compared to November 2014 (0.19%), while the accumulated (2.63%) and annual (2.51%) variations, recorded a slowdown in the price level compared to what was observed in November 2014.
In October, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.50%, and accumulated inflation so far this year of 2.14%.
The monthly change (0.50%) shows acceleration compared with October 2014 (0.15%), while the accumulated (2.14%) and annual (2.23%) changes, recorded a slowdown in the level of prices compared to those observed in October 2014.

In September the consumer price index recorded a negative variation of 0.03%, and accumulated inflation of 1.63% in the first nine months of the year.
The Consumer Price Index for September 2015 registered a monthly variation of -0.03%, and compared to September last year the change was 1.88%, according to data from a monthly report by the National Statistics and Census Institute .
In August the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.07%, with accumulated inflation being 1.67% in the first eight months of the year.

The Consumer Price Index for August 2015 stood at 120.03, recording a monthly variation of 0.07%, and compared to August last year the change was 1.96%.
In May, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.20%, slowing from April and placing the accumulated inflation in the year at 0.71%.

The Consumer Price Index for May 2015 stood at 118.90, recording a monthly variation of 0.20%, and compared to May last year the change was 2.55%.
The monthly variation recorded in May 2015 is the fourth lowest in the months of May 2008-2014 and 0.17 is below the average of 0.37 for the period mentioned.
The categories of Transport and Food accounted for the monthly increase of 0.31% in the consumer price index in February.

The monthly variation (0.31%) showed an acceleration compared to that observed in February 2014 (0.20%), the cumulative rate (-0.04%) showed a fall in the price level compared to February 2014 ( 0.45%) and the year on year rate (2.44%), recorded a de-acceleration compared with February 2014 (3.50%).
In January the consumer price index recorded a decline of 0.36%, mainly explained by transport and housing.

In December 2014, the consumer price index recorded a monthly decline of 0.11%, closing the year at 2.95%, down from the 4.39% inflation recorded in 2013.

The National Statistics Institute (INE) reported that inflation slowed in Guatemala last year and ended with a cumulative rate of 2.95%, well below the rate of 4.39% for 2013.
In November, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.19%, explained by an increase in the divisions of food, recreation and health.
