In order to evaluate yields and exercise better control, the Directorate of Investment, Concessions and State Risks was created.
The Government owns 49% of the hydroelectric power plants, 49% of Cable & Wireless (C&W), 10% of Panama Ports Company and 100% of the Electric Transmission Company (Etesa).
