The Ministry of Economy found that Costa Rican Dos Pinos had dumped, but ruled out sanctions, arguing that no damage was caused to sales or local production.
The investigation process was carried out by the Ministry of Economy of El Salvador, derived from the complaint filed in 2017 by the Salvadoran Cooperativa Ganadera de Sonsonate, de RL de CV against the Costa Rican Cooperativa de Productores de Leche Dos Pinos and the local distributor Comersal.
Two companies in the sector have reported dumping of iron rods from China and are asking the government for temporary safeguards to be put on imports.
The companies Corporación Aceros de Guatemala (AG) and Aceros Suárez (ASSA) asked the Ministry of Finance to stop the importation of iron rods from China alleging unfair practices with prices of the material in the local market.

The American Federation of Freight (Fecatrans) announced that it is preparing a lawsuit against El Salvador at the Central American Court of Justice (CCJ). The union is complaining about the fees that carriers pay at customs offices in that country, which it considers improper.
The Government has asked the World Trade Organization to investigate alleged discriminatory treatment which Argentina applies to trade in goods and services with Panama.
According to the government, the discrimination is related to taxes, exchange rates, business registration, repatriation of profits and activities of financial service providers. It is also related to "limited" access for Panamanian companies in select markets.
The amount Colombia imposes as tariffs on products from the Colon Free Zone exceeds that authorized by the World Trade Organization.
Ricardo Quijano, Minister of Commerce and Industry in Panama, said he understands that Colombia can place this type tax on products, but the complaint is that there is a limit imposed by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the tariff should be lower.
Complaints have been sent to WTO over Peru's tariffs for agricultural products which are modified according to changes in international commodity prices.
