Eight out of ten entrepreneurs claim that an excess of formalities and the high costs of formalization are the main difficulties they face when starting a business in the country.

28 September 2017.Setting up a business in Costa Rica and operating formally and under the protection of the law, is becoming more difficult for entrepreneurs.This was revealed by the Third Quarterly Business Survey "Pulso Empresarial", carried out by theCosta Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of the Private Business Sector (UCCAEP).
The business sector claims that the adverse environment for doing business in the country is the reason for the loss of almost 12 thousand jobs between December 2016 and January this year.

On April 26, the Trade Facilitation Commission (CIFACIL), which groups together seven productive labor unions from El Salvador, submitted to the Legislative Assembly's Board of Directors the report "El Salvador Competitiveness and Employment Status Report",fulfilling with a request to provide a report on the problems that are affecting the business climate which in turn affects decisions to withdraw on the part of investors and the effect of this on employment.
Beyond the political differences that some insist on highlighting, businessmen from both countries have developed a growing business relationship that has led to the trade balance growing by more than 40% in the last six years.
