In El Salvador legislative approval has been given to two loans for water treatment plants and their respective distribution networks.
An article on Elmundo.sv reports that "... A $16,982,500 loan from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) aims to 'strengthen drinking water' through the 'technical and physical renovation and automation of the water treatment plant in Las Pavas'. "
The Central American Bank for Economic Integration has announced that this month it will deliver 55% of the funds required to implement the customs union between the two countries.
The funds pending for the implementation of the Customs Union between Guatemala and Honduras are being managed by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) for a total of $1.5 million for delivery in February.

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) has approved a loan the to Republic of El Salvador in the amount of $64.4 million to finance the renovation project on Works for the Collection, Purification and Treatment of the Electromechanical Water Plant Las Pavas, the most important source of drinking water El Salvador.
Between October 28th and 30th, Guatemala City will host a meeting between businessmen from various productive sectors in Spain and representatives from Central American companies.
This multilateral meeting aims to find business opportunities in the energy industry, transport, water and real estate development, among others.
The government has asked Mexico for a loan to finance the construction of two bridges and the widening of the road to Puerto de La Libertad.

The Government of El Salvador with the European Union will hold on the 25th and 26th of November, the "CA- EU Partnership Agreement: opportunities to export" a seminar-workshop, in order to support small and medium enterprises in the Salvadoran process of internationalization and diversification of markets and products to Europe, as part of the trade pillar agreement which came into force on 1 October .
Ratification has been made for a loan granted by the BCIE for the construction and expansion of prisons and the purchase of 2000 electronic tagging devices.
The loan from Banco Centroamericano de Integración Económica (BCIE) was signed on April 24 by the Ministry of Justice and Security.
According to the security chief, Ricardo Perdomo, "the resources will be used for the construction and expansion of prisons, prison farms and buying tagging devices".
Two turbines will be added to the 5 de Noviembre hydroelectric station, which means an extra 80 megawatts going into the country's energy network.
