The union of Guatemalan merchants and the embassy of Peru signed an agreement to increase trade between the two economies.
According to figures from Banco de Guatemala, in 2017 the Central American country imported $71 million worth of goods from Peru and exported $86 million worth to the South American country.
The new business entity seeks to convene 100 companies in two years, and foster business development, trade and investment between Panama and the European country.
The Franco - Panamanian Chamber of Commerce (CCFP) is a non profit organization that seeks to bring together the business sector of both countries to promote business development, trade and investment.
Forty-five companies from both countries are already part of the new chamber which will focus on promoting bilateral trade.
Víctor Hugo Morales, Mexico's ambassador in Tegucigalpa, announced the creation of the Honduran - Mexican Chamber of Commerce. A total of 45 companies from both countries are already part of the new union which was set up in Tegucigalpa and will focus on solving the problems facing Honduran exporters in getting their merchandise into Mexico.
