El Salvador: Tourist Project " La Libertad" Advances

The Department of Tourism inaugurated the IV phase of the tourist complex, “Puerto de La Libertad.”

Elsalvador.com publishes in its website: "For this part of the project, $2 million was invested. To date, the government has invested $8 million. It is foreseen that the complete Tourist Complex will surpass an investment of $10 million. The Salvadoran Ministry of Tourism will invest in the fifth stage of construction of the tourist boardwalk.

The works of the "Plaza Marinera", scheduled for 2013, include the construction of a gastronomic mall that specializes in traditional seafood dishes.

Jose Napoleon Daurte, Minister of Tourism, told Elsalvador.com, "...(The mall) will house about 100 micro and small culinary businesses, that are now selling their products in places that do not meet hygiene and comfort requirements for this type of business in the vicinity of the existing boardwalk.

Paseo de las Flores Mall Inaugurates Expansion in Costa Rica

With a $ 41 million investment, the third stage of the mall was inaugurated.

According to the developer of the project, Mega Developments SA, the new phase will generate 750 direct jobs.

"In total, Paseo de las Flores has 341 stores, six bank branches, five movie theaters, 1,480 parking spaces as wells as restaurants and fast food areas", reported Nacion.com.
