What Motorcycle Brands Are Leading in Mexico?

It is estimated that at the end of 2019, 23% of the motorcycles circulating nationally were of the brands Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Vento and Bajaj.

The report 'Vehicle fleet in Mexico 2019', from the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, provides details on the characteristics of different vehicles that travel through the streets of the Mexican states.

Distribution of Units by Region
The information system details that 18% of the units are located in the southeast region, made up of the states of Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatan.

The central states of the country, Morelos, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas and Queretaro, concentrate about 25% of the motorcycles circulating nationwide.

Brands at National Level
Records of the Mexican vehicle fleet indicate that of the total number of motorcycles circulating in the entire territory, 7 out of every 10 correspond to the brands Italika, Harley Davidson and BMW.

The interactive report adds that other brands that also register units in circulation are Vento, Kurazai, Dinamo, Treck Motors, KTM and TVS.

Units per Cylinder and Brand
It is reported that almost 70% of the units have a cylinder of 125 cc and 150 cc. Of this group of motorcycles, 21% are of the brands Honda, Yamaha and Vento.

The records detail that about 25% of the units report a cylinder of 110 cc, 180 cc, 200 cc and 250 cc, of which 10% are the brands Bajaj, Suzuki and Dinamo.
