Vitec Group Expands Facilities in Costa Rica

The maker of equipment for photographic, film and aerospace industries, has announced an investment of $5 million to expand its plant by 2,000 square meters.

From a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Trade in Costa Rica:

- $5 million reinvestment will generate ability to attract new processes and products, and generate 100 new jobs in Cartago.

- Company supplies tripods, brackets, teleprompters and lighting to the worldwide film, television, photography and aerospace industries, among others.

Cartago, Costa Rica. November 29, 2012. More of the innovative technology with which thousands of fans and professionals around the world capture video images and photographs will come from Cartago. Vitec Group plc (Vitec), a leading manufacturer of professional equipment for the film, industry, photographic industry, aerospace, and government, has announced the expansion of its division Vitec Videocom in the province.

An announcement has been made of the launch of a new tobacco production export plant in the city of Esteli, with an investment of $2 million.
