The "Information System for the Impact Analysis of Covid-19 on Business", prepared by the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, measures the impact that the crisis will have on companies according to their sector or economic activity, taking into consideration various scenarios for the coming months.

If the measures to restrict mobility last two months, it is expected that in Central America the covid-19 crisis will cause a drop of at least 6% in the income of workshops specializing in Vehicle mechanical repairs.

It is expected that companies dedicated to chauffeur-driven bus rental will significantly reduce demand for mechanical repair services. Revenue generated by the workshops from the repair of household vehicles will also fall considerably.

According to the forecasts, the impact on the Garage sector will be considerable in this context of health warnings and restricted mobility of people. However, when compared to the Entertainment, Restaurants and Hotel sectors, the drop in sales will not be as dramatic.
