VII China, Latin America and the Caribbean Business Summit

On 26 and 27 November, the Hotel Real Intercontinental in San Jose, Costa Rica will host a business meeting between China and Latin America.

The China Latin America and the Caribbean Business Summit is the most important business meeting for trade and investment between Latin America and the Asian giant, which seeks to promote and strengthen trade and investment opportunities which have opened up between China and Latin America in recent years. The forum is held annually and the venue alternates between the two regions.

In 2013, San Jose , Costa Rica will host the Seventh Summit of China - Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica , the Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER) and the Costa Rican Coalition for Development (CINDE) , in conjunction with the Council for the Promotion of International Trade in China (CCPIT) and the
Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

On 26th and 27th of November 500 Chinese businessmen will take part in business meetings with 300 representatives from Latin American companies seeking to generate new business.

According to Anabel Gonzalez, Minister of Foreign Trade, they expect the involvement of 300 employers in the region and they have been organizing business meetings for the summit in the form of plenary sessions, parallel meetings and roundtable discussions at high-level .

VI China - LA and the Caribbean (LAC) Business Summit

Costa Rica will host the sixth China - Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Business Summit, to be held in October 2013.

The summit organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) seeks to strengthen trade relations between the two regions.
