United Arab Emirates Certifies Costa Rican Meat

An announcement has been made that Costa Rica is now authorized to export beef to the Arab country and negotiations are being held for the sanitation certificate for export, which will be ready in two months.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Costa Rica:

According to a letter from the Ministry of Environment and Water, of the United Arab Emirates, signed by Mohd Shammat Abdoun; Costa Rica is authorized to export beef to the country. The National Animal Health Service (SENASA) is negotiating with China the country the sanitation certificate for export, which is expected to be approved in about two months.

"We continue to reap large gains for producers and the meat industry in our country, now with this new market, the UAE" said Bernardo Jaén, Director General of SENASA.

Ranchers Industrial Costa Rica already has health authorization to export to UAE, thanks to comply with the sanitary requirements demanded by this market and also other establishment is completing the formalities with SENASA.

In one year, shipments of this product to China grew by 707.1%, making the country the third destination of our bovine meat exports.

Russian Enables Beef Imports from Costa Rica

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control of Russia has also enabled a Costa Rican company to export of milk powder to that country.

The National Animal Health Service of Costa Rica (SENASA) reported that two Costa Rican companies have been authorized to sell beef and milk powder in Russia: Ganaderos Industriales de Costa Rica S.A. and the Cooperative of Milk Producers Dos Pinos RL
