Unión Fenosa Invests $1.2 Million in Guatemala

The Spanish transnational enabled a new electric substation in the Sololá department.

The company announced in a press release: "Because of this project, electricity service will have better quality and availability in Panajachel, Santa Catarina Palopó, San Antonio Palopó, San Andrés Semetabaj, Santiago Atitlán and San Lucas Tolimán, Sololá".

"Unión Fenosa operates in Guatemala since May 1999, supplying electric power in 20 of the 22 departments, mainly in rural areas", reported newspaper Prensa Libre.

The Cabinet Council has approved a resolution authorizing the conclusion of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Electric Transmission Company (ETESA).

Tender for Electrical Substation for $13.3 million

The Electricity Transmission Company of Panama is putting out tender the supply and construction of the San Bartolo Automated Substation.

The Contractor will perform the engineering, supply all required materials, provide all equipment and construction tools, supply and execute the entire workforce, and generally do everything necessary, whether or not expressly mentioned in the Technical specifications, to achieve the full realization of the Work in accordance with the conditions and criteria set forth in the Technical Specifications, and deliver it in perfect working order and to the satisfaction of ETESA (Electricity Transmission Company SA)
