U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Promotes Honduras

The U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce seeks to promote Honduran products and to promote investment in the tourism sector.

The vice-president of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Elizabeth Elizabeth Vásquez Gallagher, is in Honduras meeting with small and large businesses from various sectors in order to facilitate the promotion of Honduran products in the U.S. market.

The web portal Tiempo.hn highlights some of the comments made by Elizabeth Vásquez Gallagher: "We would like for the chambers of commerce of Honduras to form part of our chamber so that they can promote their products in the United States and so that they come to invest in this country."

As part of the initial promotion efforts, the executive invites business owners of Honduras "to participate in the network opportunities at the convention that the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will celebrate between the 16th and 19th of September in Denver, Colorado."

From 10th to July 14th, 20 companies in the state of Florida in areas dedicated to technology, tourism and industry, will be looking for business in the country.

The activity is being organized by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) who will assist companies such as Vestal & Wile, Puerto Cape Canaveral and the airline JetBlue, as well as lawyers with experience in international law and migration.

The mission is organized by the Salvadoran American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham), and the U.S. Embassy in El Salvador, and expects 10 companies to participate.

Costa Rica seeks to boost trade and investment with US

Costa Rica's export promotion agency, Procomer, launched a plan to boost trade and investment with the United States.

Procomer officials say they are seeking investment in areas such as the auto industry, information technology and construction, while boosting export in tropical fruits, leather goods and textiles, among others.
