The "ABC of exports" program will be taught by the School of Foreign Trade of the Guatemalan Association of Exporters.

According what Roxana Larios reported in an article in, "As a form of support for the export sector, the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport), through its School of Foreign Trade (ECE), is preparing the implementation of a new diploma course in which tools for entrepreneurs to trade their products in different markets will be provided.

The School of Foreign Trade (ECE) from Agexport has over 10 years experience in the development of graduates and is certified with the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard. It also has the support of the University of the Pacific (USA), the Technical Institute for Training and Productivity (INTECAP), the Association of Bi-national Chambers of Commerce (Ascabi), the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food ( Maga) and the European Union (EU).

Guatemala: The Future Export Environment

On November 13th in Guatemala City a conference will be given on the challenges faced by Guatemalan exports in maintaining their competitiveness in the global market.

The School of Foreign Trade -AGEXPORT- will be giving a conference on November 13, 2014, entitled "The Future Environment for Exports'.

Guatemala: Training for Exporters to Europe

Free training will be given on how to complete the Verification of Origin Questionnaire and EUR-1 Movement Certificate for exporting to the EU.

From a press release issued by the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport):

In order to provide an information service to exporters regarding the Origin Verification Questionnaire and EUR-1 Movement Certificate, through the medium of SEADEX WEB, the Single Window for Export, VUPE, at AGEXPORT, free training sessions will be given on days 9, 15 and 22 of January 2014, for companies exporting to the EU so that they can enrich their knowledge about filling in the questionnaire.

Nicaragua gets $10 million from the IDB

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a $10 million loan to finance a foreign trade program that will help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nicaragua expand exports and attract foreign investment.

Panama: Support program for exporters launched

The projects seeks to train small and medium business owners how to comply with environmental requirements and sanitary and phytosanitary measure for exporting.

The training will be done through courses and workshops on technical regulations and environmental certifications, efficiency and energy-saving, assembling of export distribution chains, etc.
