The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are planned in the region.

Detail of some of the Environmental Impact Studies presented recently in Guatemala:

The Educational Foundation of Guatemala (Fundación Educativa de Guatemala) submitted an EIA to expand the facilities of the Inter-American College located in zone 16 of the municipality of Guatemala. According to the document for the project, the amount of investment foreseen is approximately $11 million.

Empacadora Toledo, S.A. submitted an EIA to expand its industrial center, located in Barrio Ingenio, municipality of Amatitlán, department of Guatemala. According to the study, the overall investment is estimated at $10 million.

Adriza, S.A. submitted an EIA to build, in zone 10 of Guatemala City, a building with 11 levels and six basements. According to the document, the project is called "Edificio Reforma 383" and a total investment of approximately $6 million is planned.

Industrial Projects in Costa Rica for $26 million

February 2016

Works at the Recope plant in Moin and the construction of a fertilizer plant are part of the projects for which environmental impact studies were submitted in November 2015.

The report entitled "Construction Projects in Panama - November 2015", prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides a detailed list of major construction projects for which environmental impact assessment (EIA) were presented to the National Environmental Technical Secretariat (SETENA) in November.

Environmental Permit for Multi Million Dollar Project

January 2016

Plans are underway to build in Panama City a mini city estimated at $4.1 billion, which will include areas for logistics, commerce, residential development and city utilities.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) submitted to the Ministry of Environment in October 2015 by PGC Developers, SA, indicates that the development called "Panama Global City" (PGC), and will be located in the districts of Tocumen, 24 de Diciembre and Pacora, in the district of Panama, Panama Province.
