The Projects Being Built in Central America

A wastewater treatment system in Panama, apartment towers in Costa Rica and a shopping center in Guatemala are some of the projects planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive platform "Construction in Central America" compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData provides an up to date list of public and private construction projects for which EIA's were submitted to the respective institutions of each country in September 2017.

Details of some projects:

The Ministry of Health in Panama submitted an EIS to build sewerage networks, wastewater treatment plants and sanitary collectors in the districts of Arraiján and La Chorrera, in West Panama. According to the study, the project has an estimated cost of $667 million.

Furoiani Obras y Proyectos submitted an EIA to build 2 apartment towers with 10 stories each in Sábana Norte, province of San Jose. The project is called "Iconnia" and according to the document the amount to be invested is approximately $44 million.

Inversiones Javea S.A. submitted an EIA to build, at kilometer 16.5 of Carretera a San José Pinula, department of Guatemala, a building that will have commercial premises, movie theaters and 332 parking spaces. The project is called "Centro Comercial Vilaflor" and according to the study the amount to be invested is $8.9 million.

CentralAmericaData provides information on public and private construction projects to be developed in Central American countries, with details such as estimated investment, project times and phases, materials and equipment that will be required during and after construction, water treatment, and structure of parking lots, among other things.
