According to the rules of the contest, the rights that comprise the transmissions by open television, cable television, and radio, produced and transmitted within the national territory. It also receives bids for the rights generated by this activity presented by the suppliers, in the forms of productions described above.

The specifications state that "... the best offer by the Receiving Commission for the respective award to the winning bidder in the different modalities offered shall be considered:
a) Open television, base price of fifty thousand dollars of the United States of America ($50,000.00).
b) Cable television, base price of fifty thousand United States dollars ($50,000.00)
c) Radio, the offer is for all those interested in producing transmission by this form of technology and that present an offer at the base price of fifty thousand exact quetzales (Q.50,000.00). the award will be made to as many bidders present their offer."
