Panama's Metro bids the special risks insurance policy, with a two-year validity period.

Panama Government Purchase 2020-2-81-01-08-LP-001754:

"The bidder will be responsible for executing all the works, activities and tasks necessary to provide the service of Special Risks Insurance Policy Contracting, for a 24-month period.

-Contracting shall be composed of four sections:
I. All Risk:
a. Loss and/or physical damage including catastrophic risk.
b. Comprehensive Civil Liability in a broad sense, including personal accidents, and medical expenses.
II. Professional Liability.
Directors, Officers, Counselors and Managers Liability.
Bus Fleet Liability."

Reference value: $1,583,152.

Deadline for receipt of bids: April 2, 2020.

Insurance: Panamanian Market Not Rebounding

In 2016, revenues from insurance premiums grew by ¢90.7 billion (16%) compared to 2015, closing the year at ¢655 billion. Growth was widespread by category and in all cases, higher than the main macroeconomic indicators.
