Tender for Solid Waste Transport

In Costa Rica, the Municipality of San Ramon tenders for the two-year term the service of transport and final disposal of ordinary and non-traditional solid waste, under the delivery on demand mode.

Costa Rica Government Purchase 2019LN-000001-0015900001:

"The waste must be transported in trailer-type transfer trucks, with a height of approximately 3.9 meters and a length of approximately 16 meters, with a minimum capacity of 25 tons per trip, closed to prevent the escape of liquids and with canvas to prevent the fall of solid waste to the public road. In addition, they may be equipped with a tray or device for storage of leachate.

The final disposal of the waste must be in a mechanized sanitary landfill that complies with all the provisions required by the General Health Law, the provisions of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Environmental Technical Secretariat, the Sanitary Landfill Regulations, General Regulations for the Granting of Operating Permits, as well as any other applicable regulations.

The period of this contracting will be 2 (two) years and extendable for 2 (two) additional years, the total period of contracting could be for a maximum of up to 4 (four) years".

Tocumen will Tender Waste Management Services

July 2014

Airport authorities in Panama are preparing a tender for waste management services which will be announced in mid-October.

While the tender process is being prepared, Tocumen airport has contracted for a period of 90 days the company Tecnológicos de Incineración, S.A, which will provide the service of collection and incineration of waste arriving on planes until the new provider is selected after October.
