An analysis by CentralAmericaData's Business Intelligence department shows interesting data on the processes that during May 2022 were published with contracts to provide pharmaceuticals, equipment and medical supplies to the several Ministries of Health and Social Security entities in Central American countries and the Dominican Republic.

For May 2022 almost 10,726 results categorized in "Health and Medicines" were registered, of these records only 166 bids mention in the publication that it is a medicine, distributed as follows: Guatemala 107, Dominican Republic 23, El Salvador 16, Nicaragua 13, Costa Rica 5 and Honduras and Panama with one record each.

Also, it is observed that for the analyzed month, 237 bids on medical equipment were registered in the platform, as well as acquisitions of vaccines, machines, chemicals and medical treatments for patients in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
