Investment by Grupo Energía de Bogotá, for an 850km extension, will amount to about $357 million and works must conclude in October 2013.

The extension of the transmission electricity network in Guatemala by 23% with the addition of 850 km of new 230 kilovolts lines, is being managed by the Colombian company Grupo Energia de Bogota, which won a tender issued in 2009.
