Tender for Airport Projects in El Salvador

The Autonomous Executive Port Commission is preparing a tender for the construction of a passenger waiting room and the remodeling of the parking spaces at the international airport in San Salvador.

According to information from the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA) of El Salvador, the waiting room will require an investment of about $5 million, and will be on the first floor of the airport terminal and will have capacity for 400 people. The objective of this project is to comply with the segregation of passenger flows recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

CEPA told Laprensagrafica.com that "...Another project on the agenda is to improve the Immigration area​​. In this case, the responsible institution is the Directorate General of Immigration (DGME)."

As regards equipment, the owner of CEPA noted that "... in the coming weeks a company will be awarded a contract to provide new primary and secondary radars airport. Another tender yet to be awarded is for the construction of the food court and departures lounge."
