Tender for $68 Million for the Construction of a Health Institute

Panama is required to build a Dr. Francisco Diaz Merida Workers' Health Institute, including furnishing and equipment, for proper operation.

"Caja de Seguro Social de Panama requires the construction of a building for the operation of the Instituto de Salud de Trabajadores.

The tender includes the technical studies, design, preliminary project, plans, construction, finishes, furnishing and equipment for the construction of the Dr. Francisco Diaz Mérida Workers' Health Institute.

The building will be constructed on land owned by the Caja de Seguro Social. The building will have nine floors and a basement, which will be divided as follows: first floor, three parking levels, four levels of offices with a terrace, and a rooftop level.

The developer must provide a 5-year warranty.

Nicaragua: $25 million for Health Infrastructure

January 2013

According to the Public Investment Program, the Ministry of Health has prepared a budget for 2013 of $25 million in order to renovate hospital infrastructure.

The projects include the renovation of two national referral hospitals the children’s hospital Manuel de Jesús Rivera " La Mascota ", and the women’s hospital "Bertha Calderon", with an investment of $3.5 million.
