Tender for $11 Million in IT Equipment

The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (Costa Rican Electricity Institute) is bidding for the financial leasing of computer equipment, on a delivery on demand basis for a period of six years.

Costa Rican Government Purchase 2021LA-000006-0000400001:

"ICE will contract the financial leasing of computer equipment through the leasing modality, the deliveries of computer equipment will be made only during the first two years of the contract and will be valid for 48 months (4 years) counted from the moment of delivery to satisfaction by ICE.

In years 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the contract, ICE will not receive computer equipment, except for replacements due to incidents; instead, during this period, the equipment delivered in years 1 and 2 will be leased, which will be terminated as the established 48-month period elapses.

Only those offers from bidders who can certify, by means of a note issued directly by the manufacturer, within the last 3 months, that they have direct support from the manufacturer for the sale and distribution of the equipment and/or services requested in this poster, will be admissible."

Petaquilla Enters Leasing Agreement for $ 9.1 Million

The gold mine project Petaquilla, located in Panama, agreed a leasing structure with a national bank for the purchase of heavy machinery.

According to a company press release, the agreement was made between the bank and Infrastructural Development Panama, SA (PDI), a company's infrastructure subsidiary.

National Bank of Costa Rica to offer leasing

It will be the first state bank to offer this service, which consists of renting an asset (machinery, computer equipment or vehicle) to a company or person for a set time at a set price.

This will be possible because of the Banking System Law for Development that was approved in November, allowing public banks to carry out financial and operational leasing.
