Tender: Warehouse for Health Supplies for $13 million

The Ministry of Health in Panama is putting out to tender the study, design, construction and equipment of a new National Warehouse for Health Supplies.

Panama Government Purchase 2017-0-12-0-08-LV-021411: 

"To build infrastructure for a New Warehouse for Health Supplies that meets all of the criteria to ensure adequate storage, handling and distribution of medicines, medical-surgical supplies, imaging supplies, laboratory supplies, dental supplies and biological supplies.

The Ministry of Health will provide a list of environments for the design and development of the plans and a location plan for the reference project in order for there to be compliance with the stipulated terms.

The final construction plans must comply with: requirements established by the Client and with all the current regulations that apply in the Republic of Panama. 

Reference value:   $12.718.291. 

The deadline for receipt of bids is July 12, 2017.

$36 million Investment in Industrial Park

Plans are underway to build, in San Rafael de Alajuela, Costa Rica, a 109 thousand square meter industrial park with offices and warehouses, which will operate under the free zone regime.

At the end of November 2017, Piasa Consultores submitted an Environmental Impact Study (EIA) to build an office and warehouse park within the Industrial Zone of the Regulatory Plan of the Municipality of Alaljuela. The project is called "Parque Industrial 506", and will be located in San Rafael de Alajuela. 

Logistics Projects Being Built in Central America

A tender is being launched for the construction of a second phase of the Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance in Panama Pacific.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Panama:

The Government of the Republic of Panama has announced the tender for the construction of the second phase of the Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance for Latin America and the Caribbean, and announced a national competition to design the logo of the Center, which will be the image that will identify this hub to the region and the world.

Chevron plans to invest $300 million in the expansion of a storage tank system in the refinery of Panama in Bahia Las Minas, Colon.

Continuing its investment plan in Panama, the U.S. oil company is negotiating an agreement with the Dutch company Vopak, the world's largest independent storage tank terminal operator, to convert the refinery in Bahía Las Minas into a hub for the interregional market for petroleum products and bunker fuels.
