Tender: Toll Collection Services

The National Roads Authority of Costa Rica is putting out to tender services from trained personnel to perform the process of collecting the tolls at various stations on national highways.

Government Purchase 2015LN-000001-0PP00 Costa Rica:

"RECRUITMENT SERVICES FOR TOLL COLLECTION IN THE STATIONS LOCATED ON THE ROADS: GENERAL CAÑAS (ALAJUELA), FLORENCIO DEL CASTILLO (TRES RÍOS), BRAULIO CARRILLO (ZURQUÍ) YBERNARDO SOTO (NARANJO)."

The deadline for submission of proposals is February 27, 2015.

The National Highway Council (CONAVI) through its Office of Institutional Provisions, invites companies: physical persons and / or legally constituted corporations with technical, financial and administrative capacity to supply trained personnel necessary to provide services for toll collections at stations located on highways General Cañas (Alajuela), Florencio del Castillo (Tres Ríos), Braulio Carrillo (Zurquí) y Bernardo Soto (Naranjo). Includes cleaning and maintenance of facilities and parkland, Safety and Security and the transfer of assets to the banking agencies.

Million-dollar Road Project Nears Completion

January 2020

In Costa Rica, authorities announced that work to widen a 46-kilometer stretch connecting the bridge over the Virilla River to the Sucio River, valued at $643 million and to be paid for with tolls over 30 years, is close to being approved.

The proposal to widen the road section was presented months ago to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) by the business consortium composed by H. Solís-TPF Ingeniería.

Tender for Construction of Highway Postponed

In Guatemala, the presentation of bids in the tender for the renovation and operation of the Escuintla-Puerto Quetzal highway, with toll collection, has been postponed until April 5.

The National Agency of Partnerships for the Development of Economic Infrastructure announced that " ... following a consultation and clarification process for the tender event ... it was decided that the deadline for receiving bids needed to be extended, a modification which has been established in Addendum number 1 to the Bidding Terms."

Companies Prequalified for Roadworks in Guatemala

A tender is being launched for a project to renovate, manage, operate, maintain and provide additional works for the Escuintla-Puerto Quetzal highway.

Guatemala Government Purchase 5414121:

"The National Agency of Partnerships for Economic Infrastructure Development (ANADIE) is inviting individuals and legal persons who meet the requirements of these Prequalification Rules, to express their interest in participating in the prequalification phase, which aims at, prior to the eventual opening of bids, creating a list of prequalified entities who may participate, as appropriate, in the Tender Project of the Partnerships for Economic Infrastructure Development called "renovation, management, operation, maintenance and additional works for the highway Escuintla-Puerto Quetzal with toll collection," which has the objective of improving, acquiring right of way, operating and maintaining the 2 tracks that make up the stretch of road Escuintla - Puerto Quetzal, whose administration and road management will be financed through tolls.

Costa Rica will Hire Automated Road Toll Service

February 2011

The "Consejo Nacional de Viabilidad" will launch a public tender for the contracting of an automated system for toll collection.

By hiring the service, stations Florencio del Castillo and Braulio Carrillo will streamline the service and improve traffic.

"The contract would include structural improvements at stations, installation of equipment and software.
