November 2014

Preparations are being made for the release of tender specification at the beginning of 2015 for the expansion to four lanes of a highway 9 kilometers north of the capital, in Las Cumbres.

The road which reduces the distance between the north and east of the capital needs to have its existing structure renovated as well as construction of two additional lanes to improve the flow of the 800 vehicles which pass along it during peak traffic hours. It is expected that the funds to finance these works will come from the 2015 investment budget.
