In Honduras a tender is being launched for a technical audit of the construction of the Logistic Corridor Villa de San Antonio - Goascorán.

Honduras Government Purchase CPI-DGC-UEBCIE-02-2017: 

"Establishing the scope of the works and activities to be carried out, for the execution of consulting services for the Elaboration of Technical Audit of Executed Work and Management of the Turnkey Project: Construction of the Logistic Corridor Villa de San Antonio Road - Goascorán, Section II, El Quebrachal - Puente San Juan II and Section III Puente San Juan II - Goascorán.

The Technical Audit consists of validating the work executed by the contractor from June 2017 until the start of the new supervision with the Consultant to be contracted.  The aforementioned is as a consequence of a lack of supervision in the work since the aforementioned date. It should be clarified that the Project has a Verifying Firm that is exercising supervision activities with minimum personnel according to the nature of its contract."

The deadline for receipt of bids is  September 18th,  2017.

Honduras: $86 million for Road Works

September 2017

The Honduran Congress has approved a loan with CABEI to finance part of the construction of the road between Villa de San Antonio and Goascarán, part of the logistic corridor project.

"... The loan, which was approved in a single debate, is essentially intended for the 'Construction Project of the Logistic Corridor Villa de San Antonio-Goascorán, Sections II and III'."

Funding for Road Project in Honduras

September 2012

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration will provide $49 million for the construction of the road from San Antonio Villa-Goascorán.

From a statement from the Ministry of Finance (MOF):

Honduras' government, through the Ministry of Finance (MOF), and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) have signed a loan agreement for the implementation of the "Road Villa de San Antonio-Goascorán, Section IA and IB", for U.S. $49.1 million.
