"For this project, the Municipal Office of the Central District is calling on national construction companies, prequalified according to No. PR-EC-01-AMDC-2017, for category IV.
The execution period of the works is: three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days. The date scheduled for completion of the works is: October 2018.The funds will come from: the Municipal Office of the Central District."
The deadline for receipt of bids is September 13, 2017.
The Ministry of Housing in Panama is putting out to tender the study, design, construction, operation and maintenance of an oceanic disposal system for the City of Colón.
Panama Government Purchase 2018-0-14-0-03-LV-012851:
"The Contractor must develop the Studies, Designs, and Construction activities for the works of the Oceanic Disposal System of the City of Colón, consisting of a Pre-conditioning Station and an Underwater Emissary, and whose execution must be carried out in coordination with the Contractor who is currently executing the Project "Urban Renovation of Colon", which includes in its scope the implementation of improvements to the sanitation system's pumping stations.
The office in charge of the Sanitation Project of the City and Panama Bay is working on the feasibility studies to build a sewage system in the area of Arraiján and La Chorrera.
This new sanitation system will be built as a project separate from the Panama City Project and will include, as does the other project, a treatment plant, an interceptor system, collectors and sewage networks.
It has been announced that the specifications are being prepared and will include the operation and maintenance for 10 years of the current treatment plant and a new one to be built as part of the works.
The tender for the second stage of the sanitation project in Panama City includes not just cleaning but also expansion of the capacity of the existing treatment plant.
The Municipality of San Pedro Sula will invest in wastewater treatment projects.
Fredy Fugón, Superintendent of Public Works said that among projects is the construction of four storm drains in the area of Jardines del Valle, which will be tendered shortly.
"Fugón said construction of water collectors will also take place in the same area of Jardines del Valle, around the area of 27th and 33rd Street, bid process which began last week with ads published in city media," reports Tiempo.hn.
