Tender: Electricity Works for $81 million

Panama is inviting bids for supply and services for the repowering of the Panama II-Chepo Line and the new LT Chepo -Meteti, 230kV and associated substations.

Panama Government Purchase 2016-2-78-0-08-LP-007309:

"This contract includes the completion of the project called "Transmission Line Panama II-Chepo-Metetí -230 KV "consisting of:

-Supply of materials for the repowering of the LT Panama II-Chepo: changing the conductor of the Panama II transmission line to the area of Chepo (lines 230-1A / 1B, 230-2A / 2B), to a high operating temperature trapezoidal conductor 714MCM ACCC Dove. This conductor will have a capacity of 600MVA / circuit at a temperature of 180°C and 645MVA / circuit at 200°C . The existing towers will be used.

-Construction of line Chepo-Metetí 230 KV single circuit on towers, with capacity for a second circuitA 714 MCM ACCC Dove conductor will be used.

-Supply, assembly, commissioning, putting into service and civil works for the construction of the new substation Chepo 230 KV, in breaker and a half scheme, which will consist of three units of 230 KV, two of them with three (3) switches for connection of the double circuit transmission line from Panama II and the existing double circuit line coming from Bayano: and a unit of two (2) switches for the output of the new single circuit to Metetí.

-Supply, assembly, commissioning, putting into service and civil works for the construction of the new substation  Metetí 230 KV in breaker and a half scheme, with two units: the first of three (3) switches for connection of the new single circuit transmission line from the S / E Chepo and the connection with the transformer belonging to ENSA for distribution in the area. The second with two switches to complete the scheme for the substation, initially operating in a ring.

Reference value: $81.475.000 

The deadline for receipt of bids is October 11, 2016.
