Tender: Construction and Equipping of Hospitals

The Costa Rican Department of Social Security of Costa Rica has made a call for companies interested in designing, building, equipping and provide support to two new hospitals in the provinces of Puntarenas and Cartago to prequalify for the work.

Costa Rica Government Purchase 2016LN-000001-4402:

"The objective is to prequalify as many construction companies as possible with a view to their further participation in tenders to be launched for the design, construction, basic equipping and equipping with high, medium and low complexity medical and industrial equipment, maintenance of medical and industrial equipment and maintenance of the infrastructure of the new Monsignor Sanabria Hospital in Puntarenas and the Max Peralta in Cartago belonging to the Costa Rican Department of Social Security, these projects may include the following components:

- Design component
- Construction Component
- Equipment Component
- Maintenance Component
- Infrastructure maintenance
Maintenance of medical, industrial and electromechanical equipment
system for information and initial inventory for maintenance. "

The deadline for receipt of bids is May 23, 2016.

Costa Rica to Tender Hospital Construction

It has been announced that in the next few days a tender will be published for the design, construction and equipment of a new hospital in Turrialba, under the turnkey mode.

July 2016

An Environmental Impact Study has been submitted to build a 40 thousand square meter hospital in Turrialba, Cartago.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study submitted by the Costa Rican Social Security Department (CCSS) to the Environmental Technical Secretariat (SETENA) indicates that the purpose is to build the new William Allen Taylor Hospital, which will have a net construction area of 40,251 m2. 

Three Bids to Build Hospital in Puerto Armuelles

March 2016

Constructora Rigaservices, Acciona Infraestructuras, and Consultores Profesionales de Ingeniería submitted bids ranging from between $64 million and $73 million.

The tender to contract comprehensive technical studies, hospital architectural designs, development and approval of plans, environmental impact study category 2, construction, furniture, medical equipment, personnel training and preventive and / or corrective maintenance for the new hospital in Port Armuelles, located in Chiriqui province, has received three bids.
