The Office of Project Services of the United Nations (UNOPS) is calling for expressions of interest for the project "Strengthening capacities of Associations of Rural Water Supply (ASADAS) in order to address climate change risks in communities with water stress in the North of Costa Rica".

Among the works to be carried out by the contractor are: drilling and pumping tests, testing water quality (physical - chemical and bacteriological) certified feasibility studies for water systems, hydrogeological studies for drilling, electromechanical designs for pumping systems, designs for water systems and pipe networks (sockets, sand trap, drive lines, adduction lines, distribution lines, permanent concrete tanks, permanent steel tanks and raised tanks, treatment), and structural design for different elements of a of a water and sewage system, among other things.

The deadline for submission of bids is May 31, 2016.

Aqueduct Construction Tender for $9.3 million

The Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA), has put out to tender the design and construction of an aqueduct in San Ramón and Palmares.

The tendered project involves: construction of the works from the intake of the river Barranca, sand trap, pump station, bridge over River Barranca, drive-line treatment plant – drive lines to tanks in Palmares, bridge over Rio Grande.
