Imports by country 
Between January and September of 2017, the main importer in Central America was Guatemala, with $81 million, followed by Costa Rica, with $70 million, Honduras, with $44 million, El Salvador, with $37 million, Panama, with $34 million and Nicaragua, with $16 million. 

Variation of regional imports  
Between the first nine months of 2016 and the same period in 2017, the value imported into the region registered growth of 8%, increasing from $262 million to $282 million.

The increase registered in the first three quarters of 2017 confirms the trend of purchases abroad reported since 2016, as for the periods in question in 2016 and 2017, growth of 14% and 8% was registered, respectively.

September 2017

In 2016 TV imports in Central American countries totaled $424 million, 9% more than in 2015, and the value imported from China grew by 47% compared to 2015.
