Teletech Call Center in Costa Rica Grows

The multinational service outsourcing company has a payroll of 1,200 employees and it expects to hire 700 more people.

Future employment increases will depend on demand for the company’s services, and "the incentives that the state might grant (in tax matters)."

The multinational company provides customer service outsourcing to Spanish and American companies.

According to, Martín Sucari, corporate vice-president for Latin America said: "We want to seize the global economic moment because companies will be ever more demanding. Today, companies are looking for more efficiency and requesting more quality at a better cost."

Concentrix, the global service provider and absolute subsidiary of the SYNNEX Corporation, announced it has established an international contact center in Nicaragua.

A press release by ProNicaragua reads:

The company, located in the capital, is able to hire 60 people in its first phase and plans to increase the figure to approximately 200 employees next year.

WNS Expands in Costa Rica

Multinational corporation WNS will provide financial, accounting and customer care services from its facility in Santa Ana.

The company's new data processing center is expected to generate 100 jobs.

HP Invests $13 Million in Panama

August 2009

A new global services center will attend Panama and several Latin American countries.

In its new facilities, the multinational corporation offers tech support and outsourcing services. It employs 145 workers, and has generated an additional 100 indirect jobs.

From "Additionally, a technology training center will be built in Panama, after an agreement was signed with the Vocational Training Institute for Human Development and the Technological University of Panama".

El Salvador's call center industry consolidates

July 2008

Members of the Call Center Association, which consists of seven companies, employs more than 7,000 persons, and it plans to hire 1,000 more before the end of the year.

The call center industry is expanding rapidly, and at this point is starting to consolidate. It's growth has spawned a strong demand for qualified employees.
