Telefonica, in the fight against child labour

Dozens of children living in poverty may have a brighter future, thanks to the programme Proniño that Telefonica is running in El Salvador for two years.

The project, part of the social responsibility activities of the telecommunications company and is implemented in several Latin American countries, for the elimination of child labour in the region.

In that sense, Proniño provides comprehensive care to infants and their environment. Through schooling quality assured educational attainment significant trajectories school and knowledge of Information Technology and Communications (ICT).

According to representatives of Telefonica, currently the project benefits more than 50 thousand children in Latin America, and this year is expected to quadruple the number of beneficiaries.
