Telefónica Panama to increase coverage with 6 radio bases

With these new bases coverage in Panama City and Colon will be strengthened and more communities from the central provinces will be included.

The base stations will be located in the sectors of La Polvareda in Arraijan, La Fragua in the Province of Veraguas, in Potuga in the Province of Herrera, Rio Gatún and Port Pilon in Colon, and an additional one in Panama City.

Telefonica Movistar launch the first 3.5G network in Panama yesterday which will provide better mobile internet connection.

The opening of the cellphone market to competitors is bearing fruits.

This service, which will first be offered to post-paid customers, provides the user with the option of browsing the internet from his cellular phone. They will also offer modems for computers using the same technology.
