Technisys Raises $13M to expand in Latin America

Technisys, the innovative digital banking technology firm, has secured $13 million. The capital —invested by Intel Capital, Alta Ventures, KaSZeK Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, and Holdinvest— will allow the company to expand its business throughout new markets in LATAM and the USA.

Miami-based Technisys, founded in 1996, allows banks delivering services to clients via mobile platforms, ATMs, and online. With 300 employees, the company has grown Latin America’s middle class has exploded. Citibank, Itaú, Banco Estado de Chile e Banco Original are some of its clients.

“Internet and new devices have dramatically transformed the financial services industry. This constitutes an unprecedented development opportunity for banks, retailers and other non-traditional financial service providers,” said Miguel Santos, Company founder and CEO of the firm.

According to him, banks should be reaching the customer in a holistic way. That means allowing them to connect via the Web, tablet, ATMs, smartphones and new wearable devices. “Banks will need to differentiate through their customer experience, offering the best time-to-market and providing the services their customers need, before they even realize what their needs are."
