The Citizen Action Party of President-elect Luis Guillermo Solís, is working on a proposal to stop tax evasion, focusing on what are considered the three main evaders: large companies, independent professionals and those who do not pay sales tax.

"In the first case, they will start by monitoring over 1,000 large companies, according to data in possession of the elected deputy, a significant reduction in taxes was reported and they are not even exempt."

As for sales tax, the elected deputy Henry Mora told Crhoy.com "that adjustments should be made cautiously but for example, there is a need to make requirement for all those companies trading via catalogs to pay, an activity which has never incurred taxes."

"We will make freelance professionals pay with the implementation of electronic invoicing which was announced by this government and never implemented," said Mora. "
