DHL Express Rates Up 5%

The provider of express delivery services, has announced a general price increase for January 2013.

Thursday, October 4, 2012

The general price increase is 6.9%, but is partially offset by a reduction of 2% in the amount of fuel surcharge charged by the carrier.

"The price increase that DHL Express is launching globally in 2013 is aimed at countering rising costs, including external costs that are beyond our control and can not be offset by productivity improvements or economies of scale, "said Ken Allen, CEO of DHL Express. "We are introducing our price adjustment for the year 2013 with a clear focus on maintaining our value proposition. The annual increase in prices is an important factor in maintaining the significant investments we make in our global network, providing world-class delivery performance for the benefit of our customers.
