Taiwan Businessmen Looking For Coffee

A Taiwanese trade mission will visit all of the Central American countries except Costa Rica in order to explore business opportunities in the coffee sector.

Between February 23rd and March 14th a trade mission of Taiwanese businesspeople will be visiting Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador in search of opportunities in the coffee industry.

The information was confirmed by John CC Lai, general director of the Department of International Cooperation and Economic Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Asian nation.

Taiwan Goes to Honduras and Panama to Buy Coffee

From February 7th to 20th a delegation of Taiwanese businessmen will be visiting the two countries to evaluate and buy coffee, and take part in business meetings with local coffee growers.

As part of the Taiwan Coffee Mission 2017, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Trade Office for Central America in Taipei, entrepreneurs will visit farms, take part in tastings and hold business meetings with local producers.

Taiwan Trade Mission in Honduras

Until December 7 a group of businessmen and investors will be in the country to meet with local businesses and explore business opportunities.

The trade mission was organized by the government of Honduras, after having participated last month on a tour of the Asian country to promote the arrival of more Taiwanese investment in the country.

Guatemala: Coffee Industry Trade Mission to Taiwan

Companies in the coffee sector will go to Taiwan on November 14th to participate in the International Fair of Coffee, Tea and Wine.

For the third consecutive year, with the support of the Council for the Promotion of Foreign Trade of Taiwan companies in the sector will be taking part in the Taiwanese business fair.

Guatemala: Taiwanese Coffee Producers Arrive

The Taiwanese trade mission composed of coffee buyers were particularly interested in the consequences of the plague of rust on the grain supply.

From a press release issued by the Taiwanese Embassy in Guatemala:

In order to strengthen the economic ties between Guatemala and Taiwan, from February 27 to March 1 a Coffee Trade Mission will be visiting the country, organized by The Central American Trade Office (CATO) and chaired by Ambassador Carlos SC Liao. The trade mission will consist of nine Taiwanese coffee sector companies interested in seeking business opportunities and strategic coffee alliances in order to jointly explore the Asian market.
