TACA: No Penalties for Changing Flights to Mexico

In relation to the swine flu outbreak, TACA is offering the option of making changes to flights to Mexico City and Cancun.

There is a one-time option to reprogram or re-route, depending on the details below:

- Event: Outbreak of swine flu

- Destination (to, from, stopover): Mexico City and Cancun

- Dates of original flights for which changes are allowed: between April 24 and May 3, 2009.

- New travel date should be May 31, 2009 at the latest. After this date, changes without penalties will not apply.

- Additional information:
1. The right to reschedule without penalty is permitted only during the emergency period.
2. The right to change or reschedule without penalty may be granted only in those flights where the class of the ticket is available. If the change was made to a different class than the original ticket, leveling charges will apply.

The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) declared Mexico free of avian salmonellosis and classical swine fever on 14 August.

Cruise Ships Prolong Their Stay in Guatemala

The World and Explore cruise ships will stay in Guatemala for four days, while it is usual for cruise ships to set sail on the afternoon of the same day when they arrive.
